This week the children have been taking part in lots of group activities in their literacy they worked in groups to complete a problem solving activity to match common and proper nouns together. They also did some research to create a fact file on our class novel author Anne Fine. They found out lots of great information to include when she was born, her schooling, why she got into writing, other books she has written, some of the awards she was won for writing and other interesting facts about her. The children really enjoyed this and found out so,e great facts! Finally they ended the week with a team quiz for Roald Dahl day! They worked in teams to answer questions about the different books Roald Dahl has written and about his life as well... scores are not in yet so watch this space to see who our top Roald Dahl fans are!! ๐
